Wildhaven Cattle Company, owned by Kevin and Sandy Wild, is located in Forreston, Illinois. With over 25 years of experience raising Scottish Highland cattle, we are dedicated to producing quality animals that reflect the beauty, temperament, and integrity of the breed.

 

Our program includes two focused breeding paths: traditional AHCA-registered Highlands and our specialty—HighPark miniature cattle. Our interest in miniatures developed naturally, as our Highlands have always trended smaller in size. Through careful, selective breeding, we have worked to maintain correct conformation while achieving a smaller frame.

 

A cornerstone of our miniature program is the introduction of the chondro gene through a  bull we used to own, Willard (chondro positive), whose exceptional conformation, size, and gentle temperament exemplified our breeding goals. We have also incorporated select outside genetics through our embryo transfer (ET) program to continue improving quality and consistency, size and hair!

 

Our cows are the foundation of our herd, chosen with great care for their conformation, size, temperament, and strong maternal instincts.

These days, we’re especially known for our fuzzy, friendly Highland miniature calves… the kind that make people stop scrolling.

We also still maintain a beautiful herd of AHCA registered Highlands, because we’ll never stop loving the originals.
